Terms of Service for DocWriter

Last updated: October 27, 2026

These terms govern your use of DocWriter, a Mac application developed by Shashank Shekhar ("we", "us"). By downloading or using DocWriter, you agree to these terms.

The App

DocWriter is a word processor for macOS. Anyone can view, scroll, zoom, print, and copy from a document for free. Creating and editing documents requires an active DocWriter Pro subscription, purchased and managed through the Mac App Store.

Subscriptions

If you're on the standard Apple End User License Agreement, it also applies to your use of DocWriter: Apple's standard EULA.

Your Content

Your documents belong to you. DocWriter stores documents locally on your Mac by default and does not claim any ownership over content you create. If you choose to connect Google Drive, you remain solely responsible for the content you open, edit, or save through that connection.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use DocWriter to create, store, or distribute content that is illegal, infringes another person's rights, or violates Apple's App Store guidelines.

No Warranty

DocWriter is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. While we work to keep the app reliable and bug-free, we don't guarantee it will be error-free or available at all times.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of DocWriter, including loss of data. We recommend keeping your own backups of important documents.

Changes to These Terms

If these terms change, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of DocWriter after a change means you accept the updated terms.
